The View from Mt. Little Peaks!

Tuesday, July 5, 2022 - Standing atop the mountain of backfill on our construction site (Mt. Little Peaks), one can see the incredible progress that we’ve made on the building’s foundation. The cement footprint has been encapsulated by rubberwall waterproofing. The inside and outside of the foundation have been backfilled to create a level entrance to the center’s front doors. Next, we have foam insulation going under the slab foundation. Once the remaining cement foundation work is complete, we will begin framing the floors. With exact floor measurements, we can then begin framing the walls off-site in Vermont. July also brings our trusses, wall panels, and siding! Electrical work inside the building begins at the end of the month.

Our building team has been working tirelessly to oversee daily construction. Scott McClelland and Carolyn Whitney are the unsung heroes of the Little Peaks project; their longstanding dedication to this project is the driving force behind each week’s progress report. Hats off to Scotty and Carolyn!

As always, please reach out if you’d like to tour the site in person. As friends and family come to town to visit this summer, please encourage all to learn more about our project!
