Even the septic feels special…

Dual septic tanks are lowered into place on a sunny December day

December 1, 2022. There's something about this project… even the septic feels special. Today, I watched in wonder as our dual septic tanks were lifted off the truck into the ground that the Whitney team had prepared earlier in the week. Inside the building, Ed Winch and his team of fastidious painters were preparing our pine trim to match our exterior trim details so that we could bring in the outside in. Lance Ruppert was in the rafters with Placid Sprayfoam as the team from ADK Solar began the exterior panel installation on our South facing eaves. And, as always, Scotty McClelland was onsite, milling exterior stair boards with a pencil behind his ear, ensuring that all of our complex processes work in harmony.

This week, we hosted Town Supervisor Joe Pete on site, as well as friends from the Adirondack Community Action Program (ACAP) and the Child Care Coordinating Council of the North Country (CCCNC). Community partnerships are key to our success, and we are lucky to have friends, advocates, and cheerleaders in our partners. Behind the scenes, a new task force is hard at work researching, developing, and piloting our tuition and budget schematics. We will share more information with the community about tuition, pricing, and scholarships in early 2023.

Stay tuned for building updates, and reach out if you have any questions - or want a tour of our beautiful center!
